About

An independent notebook of investment analysis, written to compound.

Moving Curve takes its name from an idea in Alice Schroeder’s biography of Warren Buffett, The Snowball: knowledge, like capital, compounds when you keep adding to it over a long enough run. This site is where that compounding happens in public.

Each piece works through a question in valuation, deals, credit or a specific company, and shows the work: the charts, the tables and, where there is one, the model itself to download and take apart.

A note on the models

Models published here are simplified to make one idea clear. They are not investment advice, and they are not meant to be used to make investment decisions.
